Reese Martin begin climbing in 1971 in the Pacific Northwest. He has climbed throughout the US and worldwide, including Alaska, Nepal, Peru, Canada, Europe and Thailand, with first ascents and over 100 new routes in Alaska, Canada, and the western US. He is a crag rat, yet enjoys all forms of climbing from 8,000 meter peaks, alpine, to big walls, to bouldering.
Alongtime climbing activist, Reese has been a Regional Coordinator for the Access Fund, replaced hundreds of bolts for the American Safe Climbing Association and is currently a director of the Access Fund.
